Following our previous competition lots featuring honey and natural processed coffees, this is our first washed Geisha competition lot from Hacienda La Esmeralda.

The Peterson family's discovery of Geisha's remarkable potential in the highlands of Boquete transformed specialty coffee, establishing a benchmark that continues to influence producers around the world today.

This lot comes from the Montaña section of Cañas Verdes farm and is a washed Geisha processed with Esmeralda’s signature cold fermentation and slow raised bed drying.

The name 7FB is Esmeralda’s own lot code. 7 represents the seventh selective picking pass, where only the ripest cherries were harvested. F refers to cold fermentation, while B indicates raised bed drying. These carefully controlled steps help preserve the coffee’s clarity, sweetness and delicate aromatics.

Expect an elegant cup with expressive jasmine florals, bright mandarin and sweet lemon citrus, delicate peach sweetness, and a silky tea like texture. The finish is clean and lingering, with a beautiful honey sweetness that showcases the exceptional clarity and refinement of Hacienda La Esmeralda.
