Description
This lot from the Hambela Goro station shows remarkable clarity and finesse, carrying the kind of lifted aromatics and clean sweetness that make washed Guji coffees so distinctive. The combination of high elevation at 2300 m.a.s.l. and careful processing gives the cup a bright, focused structure that still feels generous and expressive. Region Hambela Wamena, Guji. Produced by Tagel Alamayehu at Goro, Guji.
The growing conditions, slow maturation and the station’s attention to detail create a profile that feels both classic and fresh, a confident expression of what this area can deliver when everything lines up.

Background
Tagel Alamayehu has an unusual and compelling background. He owns the exporting company Olkai and oversees the Hambela Goro station. His father was a well known figure in Guji, both as a producer and as a trader. He built the first washing station in the Bule Hora community in the early 2000s, but later lost everything when he went bankrupt. Tagel set himself the goal of reclaiming the land his father once farmed. Years later he managed to do exactly that, bringing the family legacy full circle.
